BFHS Cross Country team gearing up;
First practice announced |

BFHS Cross Country season is just around the
corner. Head Coach Tyler Warner would like to
invite interested high school athletes to the
first team practice on August 14 at 4:00 p.m.
Athletes should park in the student parking lot
at the high school, and at 4:00 p.m. a team
meeting will take place in Room 2 (Coach
Warner’s room) at the High School. Parents are
welcome to attend as well.
After a team meeting about paperwork and team
rules, the team will go for a run and should
dress accordingly and bring water. Coach Warner
would also like to remind athletes to have their
physicals completed before coming to practice if
possible.
Coach Warner is entering his third season as the
Badgers' coach, and is coming off a year where
the boys’ team qualified for state for the
seventh consecutive year, and one girl qualified
as an individual. Coach Warner was also named
the District I 3A Coach of the Year for Cross
Country last year. The boys plan on returning
with 5 varsity starters from last year,
including seniors Alva Swanson, Nolan Stidham,
and Jack Wade. The girls will return all of the
starters from last year, including seniors
Hannah Lysne and Victoria Smith as well as
junior Nicole Donn who was in the top 25 at
state last year.
State this year will take place at Farragut
State Park near Athol.
