your comments on a restoration project |
December 17, 2014 |
The Idaho Panhandle National Forest (IPNF) is
accepting comments for the Treasured Landscapes
Prescribed Fire and Whitebark Pine Restoration
Project, located on the Sandpoint Ranger
District in the Lightning Creek watershed north
of Clark Fork, Idaho.
The purpose of the project is to achieve fuels
reduction and vegetation restoration goals
through the use of prescribed fire at the
landscape scale. The scoping notice will
describe potential activities and will be
available to those interested in the project.
The Forest Service invites those interested to
comment on the proposed activities.
Information about the project and the scoping
notice can be found on the project webpage at
http://www.fs.usda.gov/projects/ipnf/landmanagement/projects (scroll

Prescribed Fire and Whitebark Pine Restoration
Project). Please direct any questions to Sara
Sink, Project Team Leader, at
