Moose Madness a week away! |
December 13, 2013 |
By Collin Stone Moose Madness is hitting the boards at 6 p.m. Friday, December 20 with the faceoff of the Badger and Bulldogs girls varsity basketball teams. The annual event is in Sandpoint this year at Sandpoint High School. BFHS has won this completion between the schools for four out of the five years going. Points are calculated by the games, stomp routines, moose drawings, dance team, cheerleading, posters, loudness and overall crowd spirt. But one of the main goals of the event is to raise money for charity. The goal of BFHS students is to raise $3,000 for Boundary County Care N' Share. Money is raised by the penny war, which is between each class and staff. Coins are positive points to the class, and bills are negative points towards the class. Donations towards the event can be made for the fundraiser at BFHS office. Also tickets are on sale for $5, T-Shirts for $8, and rally towels for $3. The rivalry between Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry is growing, and bragging rights are a must for our student body! |
