Boundary Community Hospital hosted another
successful Free Sports Physical clinic Tuesday,
August 6. The medical staff of Boundary
Community Hospital, along with hospital employee
volunteers, Boundary County School District
coaches, and the high school athletic director
came to the outpatient clinic of Boundary
Community Hospital to help students complete
their physicals.
At one point, the long line
of students and their parents snaked out from
the entrance door of the hospital, down through
the parking lot almost reaching the city road.
75 students received
physicals, which included tests of vision,
height, weight, and urine analysis, as well as
an entire series of range-of motion tests in the
Rehabilitation department. The students’ last
stop was a visit to a physician for a complete
exam.
Marcia Morman, community
relations coordinator, says “thank-you” to all
the hospital employees and Medical Staff who
helped.
“All of the volunteers
stayed after a full work day to put in another
two hours to perform this community service,”
Marcia said. “This is a big impact on our
community. I am always impressed with the
wonderful attitude of our hospital employees and
their spirit of volunteerism. The help from the
school coaches and athletic director, Steve
Morton made the evening tasks flow smoothly and
quickly, which everyone, the students and the
volunteers, appreciated! “
