The girls high school varsity softball team
traveled to Troy Saturday to compete in a double
header. Despite snow flakes persisting
throughout the day, the girls held on through
all seven innings in both games, but fell 6-14,
11-13.
In game two, the Badgers led 10-9 in the fifth
inning, but the Trojans rallied late.
The first game was pitched by junior MaKenzie
Carle, who had 11 strikeouts. Junior Brianna
Reasoner caught. Shio-mhara Roldan was two for
four at the plate.
The second game was led at the mound by senior
Lindsay Taggart with freshman Gabby Blackmore
behind the plate.
Reasoner batted .800% at four for five,
Blackmore was two for three, which is .666%, and
Lindsay Taggart was .750% going three for four.
Reasoner also had a standing double and Taggart
had a standing triple.
The girls' next game is a double header at Lake
City on Tuesday. |
