Badger girls named to All-Tournament teams

After winning the consolation trophy at the
Idaho State 3A girl's basketball tournament
February 16, several Bonners Ferry Badgers were
given special recognition by
www.idahosports.com.
Two were singled out as "players of the game,"
Savannah Woods for game 5 against Priest River,
where she sunk six of her 13 shots to put up 13
points, made 10 rebounds, three steals and two
assists; and Kendra Merritt for game nine
against Marsh Valley, for landing five of seven
field goals to put up 13 points and made five
rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one
assist.
Woods was also named to the 3A Girl's
All-Tournament First Team, joining Snake River's
Makena Shelley and Brylie Blair, Landri Timmons
of Parma, and Katie Hughes of Filer.
Merritt and Abby Skeen were both named to the
All-Tourney third team, along with Steffie Pavey,
Priest River, Tory Lane, Homedale, and Aubrey
Huntsman, Sugar-Salem.
McKenzie MacDonald was given a tournament
honorable mention. |
