Lady Badgers chalk up second win

The Badger girls soccer team traveled to Kellogg
Saturday and took down the Wildcats to earn
their second win in as many days.
On Friday, the team made the long trip to
Orofino and shut out the Maniacs, 6-0, on
Saturday they outlasted the Wildcats to earn a
hard-fought 2-1 win in league play.
Both Badger goals were made by seniors, with
Lizzy Newhouse putting the Badgers on the board
and Liz Racer sealing the win.
"It was a well-deserved victory," coach Erin
Delude said. "The girls played really well."
With two wins in two matches this season,
everyone now has a great reason to cheer on
their hometown team
as they play three back-to-back home games in
the week ahead.
They take on Timberlake at 5 p.m. Tuesday,
August 28, face Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy at
6 p.m. Thursday, August 30, and wrap up the home
series against Stillwater Christian Academy at 3
p.m. Friday, August 31. |
