Becky
James spoke to Bonners Ferry Rotary members today about
the Boundary County Victim Services, formerly
known as Boundary County Youth Crisis and
Domestic Violence Hotline.
Becky shared the purpose behind Victim Services,
giving children and adolescents a safe place to
turn when their lives are disrupted by trauma
and/or domestic violence or abuse. She explained
the role of Victim Services is to advise people
of rights and options for them, and then offer
support to help make that happen.
Boundary County Victim Services is a non-profit
organization existing on donations and grants.
The organization employs two full time employees
and a part time advocate, yet 100-percent of all
donations goes to help locals in Boundary
County.
