Essay contest winners named

The Boundary County Human Rights Task Force has
announced the winners in the essay contest
submitted for Martin Luther King Day.
The topic was “Workers’ Rights and a Living
Wage, a Civil Rights Issue."
At the high school level, first place winner is
Camille Awbrey, who read her essay at the Human
Rights program on Sunday, January 19. The second
place winner is Hallie Drake and third place
winner is McKayla Moore.
Honorable mention participants are: Arika
Blackmore, McKenzie MacDonald, Ashley
Christopherson and Numa Aitken.
At the Middle School, Hannah Sims is the winner
and she presented her essay at both the Sunday
program and the Middle School human rights
program.
