it up in Cheney

September 20, 2011 |
On Saturday afternoon, September 17, Kootenai
Klogger members Bob and Cheryl Myers and Art
Morin traveled to Cheney, Washington, to dance
with the Cheney Hi Fliers square dancers. They
car pooled to the event with the Hoo Doo Hoe
Downers.
Families from Troy, Libby and Kalispell,
Montana, Sandpoint, Post Falls and Spokane were
also present, dancing until 10 p.m.
This kind of dancing, Cheryl said, is where
grandparents can dance with grandchildren and
everyone has a good time.
"Just like the old days," she said, "I even lost
a pound or two!"
The Kootenai Kloggers are starting classes
October 3 at the fairgrounds. The first three
classes are free, and there is a $3 weekly fee
for adults after that, with discount rates
available for families.
Beginner classes, run from 7 to 9 p.m. through
May in the fairgrounds Memorial Hall with Rick
Utter as both caller and instructor.
