She worked as a bookkeeper for a major car rental service until they moved back to Bonners Ferry, in 1970. She held different positions and jobs from bookkeeping, secretary, hops truck driver, short order cook and several positions with the Boundary County School District. In her younger years she loved water skiing and softball. She was known for her love of all animals. A stray always found food, water, shelter and a loving hand. She enjoyed her volunteer work for different animal organizations. Her best days and nights were camping on the Moyie River and Spar Lake with her family. She was a voracious reader of all genres. Give her a book, a campfire, her family and she was happy. Jennie was admired and respected by her family and friends for her tenacity and courage in her hard fought battle with cancer. A fight she was winning the morning of her accident, where she was on the way for treatment in Spokane to, hopefully, eradicate the cancer once and for all. Jennie attended Mountain Springs Church where she enjoyed her volunteer work. Her faith always carried her forward. She was also proud of her time spent with the Women’s Cancer Education and Support Group of Bonners Ferry. |
