Jean Vaughn, 45, died on Friday, August 23,
2013, of injuries sustained in a vehicle
accident in Moyie Springs. A celebration of life was held at the Alaska Native Heritage Center’s Athabaskan Ceremonial House, on Friday, September 13. Danette was born November 11, 1967, in Ketchikan, Alaska, and lived most of her life in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved to Idaho in 2012. Danette enjoyed riding her Harley, native dancing with Lepquinm Gumiligit Gagoadim, dipnetting for fish on the Kenai and she took much pleasure in the last few months of her life on an Idaho farm with her beloved Jeff Taylor. Danette is survived by her daughter, Ashley Vaughn-Robinson of Unalaska, Alaska; two of her three brothers, Franklin Vaughn and Frederick Walker Jr. and wife Kathleen all of Anchorage, Alaska; Kenneth Christenson of Wyoming and one sister, Donna Christenson of Dallas, Texas, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Anne Nathan; her father, Robert Jean Vaughn; and her brother, Justin Craig McGriff. |
