March Madness is here, and somehow this madness
has affected us here at Boundary County Live.
We are sponsoring a contest where you could win
one of our Grand Prizes, if your basketball
tournament bracket is good enough.
All
you have to do to enter to win one of our Grand
Prizes is put together your best basketball
bracket—Men’s or Women’s (or both) for the NCAA
Tournament, and enter your bracket in the
Boundary County Live group in the ESPN.com
Basketball Tournament Challenge.
Boundary County Live is sponsoring a contest for
the Men’s Tournament and for the Women’s
Tournament.
• The group name for
the Boundary County Live group Men’s Tournament
Contest is Boundary County MMadness.
• The group name for
the Boundary County Live group Women’s
Tournament Contest is Boundary County
WMadness.
When the Tournament Champions are crowned
•
on Sunday, April 3, for the Women’s Tournament,
and
•
on Monday, April 4, for the Men’s Tournament,
the First Place bracket in each of the Boundary
County Madness contest groups will win the Grand
Prize of $50. It's that easy!
To be clear, there is a $50 prize for the
winner of the Women’s Tournament Bracket
Contest, and a $50 prize for the winner of the
Men’s Tournament Bracket Contest.
But wait, there's more! If you enter our
contest, you aren't limited to just one
bracket—we will let you enter two brackets
in each contest.
(You can enter either 1 bracket or 2
brackets, whichever you wish).
Entries in this exciting contest will close and
entries will be locked as follows:
• Entries for the Men’s Tournament will close on
Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., Pacific
Time,
when the first game of the Men’s Tournament
begins.
• Entries for the Women’s Tournament will close
on
Friday, March 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., Pacific

Here are the Eleven Easy Steps to follow
to enter the contest:
1. See the official rules by CLICKING
HERE
2. Go to
ESPN.com. If you already have an account
on ESPN.com, sign in to your account, and skip
down to Step #4.
If you don't already have an account, click on
the LOG IN icon, which is at the upper right
side part of the screen, then when the LOG IN
box opens, click on SIGN UP.
3.
Follow the instructions you will see to set up
an account on ESPN.com. Along the way, you
will be asked to select your "ESPN Name," which
is the screen name you will be known by on the
ESPN website.
4. Once you are set up and have an
account, and you are at the home screen for
ESPN, select from the menu ribbon toward the top
of the screen either “NCAAM” to enter the
Men’s Tournament Contest, or select “NCAAW”
to enter the Women’s Tournament Contest.
Remember, in this contest you can enter
brackets for both the Men’s and/or the Women’s
Tournaments.
Once you get to the screen for either the Men’s
or the Women’s Tournament, click on the screen
where it says: "Fill Out Your Bracket."
5. Once you have expertly filled in your
bracket and submitted it, you are ready to join
our Group for the contest. Before you
leave the screen after submitting your bracket,
note that if you wish you can change the name of
your bracket from the boring
ESPN-computer-assigned-name, to some ultra-cool
name by clicking the gear icon to the right of
your bracket name.
Here is how you join our group:
At the menu ribbon toward the top of the
page, click on “My Groups,”
then select “Create or Join a Group” from
the drop-down.
This will open a new page.
6.
On the new page, scroll down toward the bottom
of the page until you see the section of the
page that says “ALL GROUPS.”
Inside that section is a search box that
says "Search Groups."
7.
Enter the name of our Group in this
search box. Our group for the Men’s
Tournament Contest is named "Boundary County
MMadness." Our
group for the Women’s Tournament Contest is
named “Boundary County WMadness.”
8. The name of our group will come up:
Boundary County MMadness, or Boundary
County WMadness.
Click on the name of the group.
That will take you to the page for our
group.
You will see in the description the name
of our group, Boundary County Madness, and you
will see that the creator of the group is
Boundary County Live.
9.
Click on the blue button that says “Join
Group.”
10.
This will open a page with a description of our
group, also will have a list of all of your
brackets that you have filled out.
On the right side of the screen, next to
each of your brackets, will be a checkbox.
Check the box of the bracket you wish to
select to enter into our Boundary County Live
group. (Note:
in this contest, everyone is allowed to
enter up to 2 (two) brackets).
12.
You will next need to enter our Secret Group
Password. In the box that says "Group
Password," enter our password, which is
"boundary madness" (Shhhhh--don't tell
anyone.
Also, the password is the SAME for
both the Men’s or Women’s groups). Once
you have selected the bracket or two brackets
you wish to enter in our contest, and have
entered our password, click on the blue button
that says "Join Group."
You are now in our Group! You can now
follow along, check back to ESPN.com once in a
while, and see how your bracket is doing in the
Group during the Tournament!
You can also watch for updates on our Boundary
County Live Facebook page or on our Boundary
County Live internet web page. There will
also be comments there from time to time on the
ongoing contest, we might even talk about your
bracket, and we may send out an occasional group
e-mail to all those entered in the contest, to
help keep everyone’s spirits up as the
inevitable bracket damage progresses!
We will have some official Boundary
County Live brackets entered (which are not
eligible to win).
See if you can beat our expert and
skilled selections.
13. You're not quite done yet. Since
everyone in the ESPN contest is identified only
with their ESPN screen name, we won't have any
way of knowing the real name of the person who
wins the contest. So, to finish your entry
in this contest, please send an e-mail to bracket-contest@newsbf.com
and provide us the
following information:
• The name of each of your entered brackets, and
which contest (Men’s or Women’s) you have
entered
• Your ESPN screen name
• Your actual, real name
• A valid e-mail and / or telephone number for
communicating with you
This information is necessary so we can put a
name to the anonymous bracket information on
ESPN.com and thus determine the winners of our
contest. Also so we can contact the winner
of the contest and send them their prize. And
because sending this e-mail to us is also a
contest rule (Rule #7(i)).
During the contest,
we will not divulge the real names or e-mail
address or the telephone number of anyone in the
contest, however at the end of the contest, we
will announce the name of the contest winner or
winners.
We will announce the winner’s name only,
and no other information.
Also, we do not and will not keep any
information on those who have entered our
contest—we will not keep nor store nor archive
the names, e-mail addresses, or telephone
numbers of those who enter.
Remember, you can make two brackets for each
Men’s or Women’s contests if you wish, and enter
both in our contest.
Please see all contest rules by CLICKING
HERE.
And remember this, the first game of the Women’s
Tournament begins Friday, March 18, 2022, at
9:00 a.m., Pacific Time.
The first game of the Men’s Tournament
begins
Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., Pacific
Time.
Once those games begin, our Contest Groups
WILL BE CLOSED, entries will be locked, and
no more entries will be allowed in (or out).
