Two North Idaho families are in the hospital
after a head-on collision on about two miles
south of Sagle at around 6:39 p.m. on the eve of
Thanksgiving Wednesday.
According to Idaho State Police and family
reports, Christopher Langan, 34, Bonners Ferry,
was driving north on Highway 95 in a black 2010
Dodge Caravan with his wife, Anneli, 31, and
four minor children, when he attempted to pass a
slow moving vehicle.
While in the southbound lane of travel, he hit a
maroon 1997 Nissan Altima driven by James Moore,
56, Amy Moore, 50, both of Sandpoint, and one
minor child, near mile 466.5. The collision shut
down Highway 95 for approximately two hours.
Everyone in both vehicles were wearing
seatbelts, and, despite some severe injuries,
all survived, were transported to Kootenai
Health. One person, James Moore, was said to be
in extremely critical condition.
At 11:40 a.m., the Idaho State Police reissued
their press release, reporting that James Moore
died of his injuries this morning.
The collision remains under investigation. |
