Friends of the KNWR to hold annual meeting |
November 6, 2017 |
The annual meeting of the Friends of the
Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge will be held
in the refuge education barn at noon Tuesday,
November 14, and they'd love to have your input!
They will be electing a new president as Deb
Staal has moved away, and her shoes will not be
easy to fill! They are also working to break
down current tasks so that each person does not
have too much to do.
There will be discussion of the planning meeting
usually held in January each year to set goals
for the coming year.
They hope that members and the community will
become more involved with supporting our local
Refuge through volunteer efforts on projects,
programs and events that are always open to the
public.
The Friends of the KNWR are a fun, friendly,
non-political group of folks who love the
outdoors. If you are unable to attend this
meeting but are interested in becoming a member
or becoming more involved, please let us know
by emailing
knwrfriends@gmail.com.
There will be coffee, hot water for tea and hot
chocolate. A crockpot full of chili, and
cornbread will be provided or bring a sack lunch
and/or unheated items to share. Hope to see you
there!
The Friends of Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge
is an all volunteer, non-profit organization.
