Collision on icy road claims Bonners Ferry woman |

A Bonners Ferry woman died today in a
two-vehicle collision with a semi in Bonner
County caused by slick roads.
According to the Idaho State Police, Susan L.
Rogers, 74, Bonners Ferry, was driving a 2000
Volkswagen Beetle north on Highway 95 at about
12:52 p.m. when she lost control on the slick
roadway near mile 478.5 near Ponderay and went
into the southbound lane and into the path of a
white 2015 Isuzu box truck.
The southbound truck, driven by William R.
Lawson, 64, Spokane, hit the Beetle on the
passenger side.
Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of
kin has been notified.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The
investigation is continuing. The roadway was
blocked for three hours. |
