Early morning drill to test abilities |
September 18, 2017 |
Boundary County will activate its Emergency
Operations Center at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow in a training exercise with
several other agencies.
Residents with police scanners will hear radio
traffic involving emergency services throughout
the county, along with some military operations.
The drill/exercise is to test their abilities in
responding to a simulated hazardous materials
crossing into the county under suspicious
conditions.
"Do not be alarmed as all this early morning
activity is only a drill, a chance for us to get
better at what we do," said Michael Meier,
Boundary County Director of Emergency
Management.
The entire drill should be done at around noon
tomorrow. |
