Raúl Labrador formally announced Milford Terrell
today as his treasurer for his gubernatorial
campaign. Terrell has served on numerous boards
and commissions for six different governors over
the course of 30 years, including three terms on
the Idaho State Board of education.
He was President of the Idaho State Board of
Education for two of them, 2007 and 2008.
“I am so honored to have Milford serving as my
campaign treasurer,” Labrador said. “I’ve always
admired Milford and consider him not only a
mentor, but a personal friend. His talents as a
businessman are second to none, but even more
important is his devotion and compassion to
serve the less fortunate children in our
communities. Milford’s personal story and
characteristics embody what my campaign is about
– a man who stands on principle, who achieved
his dreams as an entrepreneur, and a man
committed to doing everything possible to ensure
our children have a brighter future. I welcome
my friend to the campaign.”
"I'm honored to serve as Raul's campaign
treasurer," said Terrell. "I've watched him for
the past several years and I've always admired
his dedication to the people of Idaho, his
commitment to standing up for true conservative
principles, and his genuine desire to make Idaho
a better place for our kids. I think it's time
for a new generation of leaders in Idaho, like
Raul, who have a clear vision and commitment to
fighting for our future. Idahoans will be lucky
to have a Governor Labrador leading their great
state."
Terrell started DeBest Plumbing in 1973 with a
$1,000 personal loan from the bank.
Since then, the company has grown to one of the
largest and well known plumbing and mechanical
contracting companies in the region, having done
work at the St. Luke’s campus in Twin Falls, the
Nampa Public Library, St. Al’s hospital in
Boise, Jack’s Urban Meeting Place in Boise, and
The Village at Meridian Town Center, to name a
few.
Milford’s personal story is one of perseverance,
dedication, and compassion. Milford and his
siblings were wards of the state of Idaho and
were all adopted by different families.
Having gone through such challenges as a child,
Milford has used his success as a businessman to
bless the lives of children in our communities,
including his involvement in local children’s
homes, the Boys and Girls Club, Epilepsy League
of Idaho and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. |
