Man dies after fall from raft |

The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, along with
first responders from Boundary Search and Dive
Rescue, Boundary Ambulance, Border Patrol, Hall
Mountain Fire, North Bench Fire, Moyie Springs
Fire and pilot Rich Little responded to the
Moyie River Monday evening in response to a
report of a person floating face down in the
Moyie River near the Meadow Creek Campground.
An adult male approximately 60 years of age was
found by in the water near the Moyie Dam, where
it was determined by paramedics that he was
deceased.
The victim had been wearing a wetsuit and a life
jacket.
A witness reported to law enforcement that they
had observed the victim fall into the river from
his raft. Due to the speed of the river they
were unable to reach him.
He was identified identified this afternoon as
James Harston, Spokane. |
