Hall Mountain Volunteer Fire Association is
holding raffles for both a beautiful quilt and a
brand new rifle, with the drawing to be held at
the association's annual Appreciation Dinner
September 30.
According to Hall Mountain Fire Auxiliary Chair
Justine Williams, proceeds from the sale will be
used to provide Hall Mountain firefighters with
Life Flight memberships so they don't have to
worry about emergency medical transport should
they be injured, and to by needed equipment to
protect both the firefighters and those they
serve.
The quilt is a king size flannel top, and
tickets are just $1 each or six for $5. The
rifle is a Mossberg Patriot 30-06 with scope,
matte blued with a black synthetic stock donated
by Butch at Far North Outfitters, and tickets
for this beauty, on display at Far North (where
you can also by tickets) when it's not being
shown at various event through the next few
months, are six for $5 or 25 for $20.
Tickets for both the rifle and/or the quilt can
be purchased at North Idaho Ironworks.
Mountain West Bank is selling both quilt and
rifle tickets through Friday, May 5, where the
quilt is on display, and the auxiliary will have
a booth at the Boundary Community Hospital
Health Fair right alongside local EMTs and
firefighters from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May
13.
On Friday, May 19, auxiliary members will be
selling tickets and giving away free smiles at
Super One Foods in Bonners Ferry, and on
Saturday, May 20, tickets will be on sale at the
annual Hall Mountain Volunteer Fire Association
membership meeting at 9 a.m. at Mt. Hall
Elementary, where a pancake breakfast will be
served by firefighters and guests can see the
equipment used to protect them as well as learn
how to properly employ the various types of fire
extinguishers that arev out there.
In more serious business, three board members
will be elected to three year terms at the
annual meeting. |
