Bob Graham’s service to Boundary County and to
the citizens who live here was celebrated April
12 at the County Extension Office by those who
had worked with him over the years.
Graham served as Incident Commander in Boundary
County for over 43 years. During that time he
had responded to just about every type of
incident possible.
Graham received several awards during the
ceremony, including the State of Idaho
Distinguished Service Medal, the highest
civilian award the Bureau of Homeland Security
Military Division assigns.
General Brad Richie, Deputy Chief, Idaho Office
of Emergency Management, performed the
presentation ceremony with the assistance of Jay
Baker, Idaho Office of Emergency Management
North Area Field Officer.
Graham also received awards from Boundary County
and other agencies that have worked withhim over
the years.
Stories were shared regarding some of his most
notable opportunities within the County by his
friends and associates through the years, from
floods and mudslides to discoveries of
explosives to standoffs and so much more.
Cake and coffee were served as everyone spoke
with Mr. Graham and wished him the best. |
