Flood advisory issued through this evening |

The National Weather Service has issued an areal
flood advisory for portions of North Idaho and
northeastern Washington, including most of
Boundary County, in effect until 7:30 p.m.
today.
Rainfall from showers and thunderstorms moving
over Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho today
today onto saturated soils from this persistent
wet spring will cause slides causing mud and
debris accumulations over roadways today.
Reports of slides causing such mud and debris
accumulation over roadways have been reported in
a number of counties in Eastern Washington this
morning.
In Okanogan county three miles west northwest of
Pateros, extensive mud and debris cover part of
state route 153 and water and debris covered
portions of state route 20 seven miles west of
Loup Loup summit.
Some locations that may experience slides
causing mud and debris accumulation over
roadways include Wenatchee, Sandpoint, Omak,
Bonners Ferry, Kellogg, Priest River, Pinehurst,
Osburn, Wallace, East Wenatchee, Colville,
Chelan, Cashmere, Chewelah, Okanogan, Brewster,
Newport, Leavenworth, Oroville and Ponderay. |
