Fuelwood permits available on the IPNF |

Fuelwood permits for the 2017-2018 season will
be available beginning April 1 on the Idaho
Panhandle National Forests. A Personal Use
Firewood Permit is required if you wish to take
firewood home, however campers can gather wood
for a campfire without a permit.
Fuelwood permits are $20 for a minimum of four
cords and are available at any of the Idaho
Panhandle National Forests’ district offices and
the Supervisor’s Office.
Visitors traveling on forest roads are
encouraged to be mindful of changing conditions.
With a long winter and a very wet spring,
roadbeds at the lower elevations are soft and
prone to washouts, while snow may still cover
roads at higher elevations.
