Winter storm watch upgraded to warning |

The winter storm watch issued by the National
Weather Service early this morning has been
upgraded to a winter storm warning, meaning that
the certainty in the prediction of heavy snow
have for the region have increased. The warning
is in effect from 10 a.m. Friday through 4 p.m.
Saturday. Snow accumulations of four to eight inches in the valleys and as much as 13 inches at higher elevations. Steady snow is is expected to begin Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday morning before turning to rain in the valleys during the day on Saturday below 3,000 feet. Heavy snow is expected to continue in the mountains through the day on Saturday. |
