Bonner County Deputy Michael Gagnon, 53, went
home today from Kootenai Health, one week after
being shot three times in a shootout in
Blanchard last Monday.
Gagnon was one of two deputies shot on while
attempting to serve a warrant on Adam Foster in
Blanchard January 16, and the most seriously
injured.
Foster was also shot in the exchange of
gunfire and remains at Kootenai Health, where he
is listed in good condition.
Deputy Justin Penn, 30, was released from
Kootenai Health on Friday.
As on Friday, peace officers and emergency
service providers drove in a long procession
today to escort
Gagnon from the hospital in Coeur d'Alene to his
home and family in Bonner County. |
