Mail thieves steal Christmas |
December 22, 2016 |
Several law enforcement agencies, including the
Boundary County Sheriff's Office, the Bonners
Ferry Police Department and the Idaho State
Police, are working together and believe they
are close to making an arrest in a rash of mail
thefts in three counties earlier this month that
targeted mainly Christmas cards and credit
cards.
So far, 36 Boundary County residents have been
identified as victims, most within Bonners Ferry
city limits. Additional victims have been
identified in Bonner and Kootenai Counties.
Those who suspect that their mail may have been
stolen are encouraged to contact their local law
enforcement agency, and those missing debit or
credit cards should notify their bank
immediately. Law enforcement can provide the
case number to provide the financial
institution. |
