Free sports physicals for Middle School and High School athletes |
July 11, 2016 |
It's just three weeks until Boundary Community
Hospital opens its doors for free sports
physicals for Middle School and High School
students who plan to participate in school
athletic activities during the coming school
year. Prospective athletes, mark your calendars. On Tuesday, August 2, Boundary Community Hospital will have a team of doctors, nurses, therapists, technologists, CNAs, and other volunteers, set up in a production line style to get all athletes' blood pressure, vision, height, weight all checked and certified, and to have a physical exam as required by the Idaho High School Activities Association for students who will be participating in school sports. And the cost for all of this is free, with the hospital and all the medical personnel who are participating donating their time that evening to help support the Badgers. Athletic coaches will be on hand helping to organize the evening. Parents must be present. Who is required to have a sports physical? The Idaho High School Activities Association requires all students, grades 7, 9 and 11 who will be participating in sports, including cheerleading, and any student new to the sports program who did not have a physical last year, to have a sports physical prior to participation. Date: Tuesday, August 2 Time: From 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Location: In the Outpatient Clinic (on Comanche Street--the "back" entrance of the hospital) of Boundary Community Hospital Note: Parents must be present For more information: Call 208-267-6912 or see www.boundarycommunityhosptal.org. |
