Bonners Ferry High School will be looking for a
new principal to serve next school year.
Principal Tim Gering, who has held the position
for the past three years, has resigned as
principal, effective at the end of this school
year. He and his family plan to move to the
Lewiston area to be closer to family.
"I would like to take this opportunity express
my sincere gratitude to BFHS and Bonners Ferry,"
said Mr. Gering. "When I first arrived, you
welcomed me and my family with open arms. You
made my children feel welcome and at home. I
have sincerely enjoyed my time here as a Badger,
and have loved working with your children."
Boundary County Superintendent of Schools Gary
Pflueger thanked Mr. Gering and his family for
their time in Bonners Ferry and their
contribution to the community. "I would like at
this time to thank Tim Gering for his leadership
at BFHS for the last three years," said Mr.
Pflueger. "Tim and Kari Kay’s family have had a
great and very positive impact in our school
community. All five members of the family have
provided leadership in multiple areas. I
sincerely wish them the best as they pursue
future endeavors."
The school district has had the job opening for
a new principal posted for some time. Interviews
of applicants for BFHS Principal will be held
