March 23, 2016 |
In a Presidential Proclamation, President Barack
Obama yesterday ordered U.S. flags to fly at
half-staff "as a mark of respect for the victims
of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on
March 22, 2016, in Brussels, Belgium." "We will do whatever it takes," said President Obama, "working with nations and peoples around the world, to bring the perpetrators of these attacks to justice, and to go after terrorists who threaten our people." Flags are to remain at half-staff until sunset on Saturday, March 26. The full Presidential Proclamation regarding this order can be found by clicking here. |
