The local office of the Boundary Soil
Conservation District has announced that
Boundary County has obtained a grant to address
a variety of issues on non-industrial private
forest lands.
Some of the objectives of this project are:
Stewardship Plans for forest
management
Hazardous Fuel Reduction
Forest Planting and Thinning, to
restore species composition to Western Larch,
Ponderosa Pine and White Pine
Streambank Riparian Restoration,
favoring native plantings
Weed Control of noxious weeds on
forest lands.
