Time for North Idaho Cereal School! |
January 20, 2016 |
Sorry,
we're not talking about munching on breakfast
cereal while watching television in your
pajamas. We're talking about the special seminar on cereal crops sponsored by the Idaho Wheat Commission, the Idaho Barley Commission, and the University of Idaho Extension. The North Idaho Cereal School, scheduled for Thursday, January 28 in Bonners Ferry, will bring producers the latest information on grain production. Topics to be discussed are variety testing results, weed control, insect issues, disease updates, markets, economics, and canola production, among others. Scheduled presentations from experts include Results of regional soil pH survey, grassy and broadleaf weed control, North Idaho Crop cost and Return Updates for 2016, and more. This workshop is free. It will be held at the UI extension office. It begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 1:00 p.m. A free lunch is provided, and growers can earn 1 pesticide applicator credit for attending. Contact UI Extension at 208-267-3235 to register and for more information. To see the official flyer for the 2016 North Idaho Cereal School, click here.
