Quilts for donation and display at the Quilt
Show |
October 3, 2015 |
Well over one hundred quilts were on display at
the busy and well-attended Quilt Show, sponsored
by the Boundary County Fairgrounds, on Saturday,
October 3.
In addition to the many beautiful, hand-made
quilts, there were also many wall hangings and
runners, all also hand made.
About a dozen of the quilts in the show are
being donated by their crafters to local and
regional organizations, including the Boundary
Community Hospital ECF Wing, the state hospital
at Orofino, the Veteran's Medical Center in
Spokane, and the Hope House in Boundary County.
In addition to the donated quilts, there were an
estimated 150 or so quilts, runners, and wall
hangings on display. Those attending the Quilt
Show had the opportunity to vote for their
favorite among the donated quilts, and also for
their favorite among the quilts that were there
for display. |
