Second half property taxes due by June 22, 2015 |
June 12, 2015 |
Boundary County Treasurer, Sue Larson would like
to remind all Boundary County taxpayers that the
deadline for paying the second half of 2014
property taxes without penalty is Monday, June
22, due to June 20 falling on a weekend this
year. Reminders were sent in May for the second half of 2014 taxes and any portion of unpaid delinquencies. After June 22, per Idaho Code, a two percent late charge and interest of one percent per month will be added, retroactive back to January 1, 2015 on the second half of the 2014 taxes. Payments may be made in person using check, cash or credit card (convenience fees are charged on all debit/credit card usage) at the Treasurer's office in the Boundary County Courthouse at 6452 Kootenai Street in downtown Bonners Ferry. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tax payments can be mailed to the Treasurer’s Office, P.O. Box 218, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805. Payments that are mailed must be postmarked by June 22, 2015 to avoid penalty. Credit Cards and other online payment options are available. However, you will be charged a “Convenience Fee” for these services. Visit the Boundary County Treasurer’s page http://www.boundarycountyid.org/treasurer/index.htm for more information. |
