School Board meeting Monday to address
variety of current schools' topics

Boundary County School District 101 is having its regular School Board meeting on Monday, April 13, and wants to let everyone know that all are invited to attend.

Items scheduled on the agenda for this Monday's meeting include reports from the BFHS Robotics team, recently crowned Western Regional Canada Robotics competition champions, also reports from the high school FFA chapter on their recent State Leadership Conference Field Trip.

Kelly Hinthorn will give a presentation on the Leadership Class, and teacher David Carpenter will update the Board on Summer Youth Theater.

The local Parent Advisory Committee will also present a report to the School Board.

Other items to be discussed at the meeting include reading and consideration of new district policies, including, among many, policies on conflict of interest, employment of spouses of trustees, policy on high school graduation, policies on medication use at school by students, and a couple of policies on grievances.

Other policies to be addressed: policies on food services, nutrition standards, and guidelines for food and beverage sales at the schools.

Monday's Board Meeting will also include discussion of the school calendar for next school year, a discussion of increased staffing at schools, and also a discussion on alternate routes to graduation.

Several other topics are also on the agenda.

All members of the community are invited to attend and to provide input at the meeting. This School Board meeting will be held Monday, April 13, at the library at Boundary County Middle School, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
