Christmas shopping at the Boundary County Museum
December 20, 2014
Still trying to come up with that last minute unique Christmas gift?  Did you know you can purchase some great Boundary County-themed items at the Boundary County Museum?

The museum has some terrific 2015 calendars available. Each month of the calendar features a different historical photo of Boundary County, and each day is marked with an event from Boundary County's past that happened on that day 100 years ago in 1915. These calendars are available for purchase at the Museum for $10.

In addition, the Museum has hot pads (used for removing hot pans from the oven)--these hot pads are emblazoned with a photo of the old time ferryboat that crossed the Kootenai River in Bonners Ferry's earliest days.

And there's more. Howard Kent, local historian and Museum volunteer, has put together a history of Boundary County. As ongoing research and new findings are always turning up new things and additional information, this history is available for purchase in digital format (currently as a data CD), so it can be easily and readily updated.

You might also consider purchasing items with the White Caribou logo, including T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, hats, and mugs. The museum also has Boundary County history books and postcards featuring some of the Museum's archival photographs.

Consider also surprising someone on Christmas Day with a membership in the Boundary County Historical Society.  This permits that person to visit the Museum free of charge.  Someone on your list would love to have that in their stocking.

Don't close out your Christmas list until you've shopped at the Boundary County Museum.
