Sandpoint woman injured in vehicle rollover
on Highway 2 |

Earlier today at 3:25 p.m., a Sandpoint woman
was involved in a serious single car rollover on
U.S. Highway 2 at milepost 68.
Injured was Erin McLaughlin, age 42, of
Sandpoint. Idaho State Police report that Ms.
McLaughlin was traveling west on Highway 2 in a
2008 Lexus Model GX4, when she drove off the
right side of the road near Basin Road. Her
vehicle rolled, and Ms. McLaughlin, who police
report was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected
from the vehicle. The vehicle airbags were
deployed in the course of the accident.
Ms. McLaughlin was the only person injured in
the accident. She was later flown to Providence
Sacred Heart Medical Center by medical
evacuation aircraft.
The crash continues to be investigated by Idaho
State Police. |
