Thirty-two years ago, Care-N-Share was started
to help the children of Bonners Ferry at
Christmas time. The Program has grown to not
only help children at Christmas, but throughout
the year. Care-N-Share gives toys and clothing
to children, and everything stays in our town.
Linda Lederhos, Care-N-Share program director,
says the longevity of the program is due to the
dedicated board members Sharon, Angie Schnuerle,
and Ann Tompkins, along with Linda's family and
all the other helpers.
Linda is projecting, with the current economic
downturn, this year the need will be just as
much as years before. Care-N-Share applications
will be available at the Panhandle Health
Clinic, and at the Bamboo Room Craft Store north
of Bonners Ferry. If you are in need or know
someone who is, please feel free to call or stop
by and pick up an application. They are due by
November 28.
If you can help out by sponsoring a family or a
child, please call Linda Lederhos at 290-1483.
If you want to make a donation you can mail your
donation to Care-N-Share, 515014 Highway 95,
Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805, or drop it off at
Wells Fargo Bank. The Care-N-Share program is
also in need of new and good used toys. They can
be dropped off at Wells Fargo Bank or at
Mountain West Bank.
