Rain, snow on the way | |
January 16, 2018 | |
That changes tomorrow. For today and tonight, the National Weather Service says humidity will be high, as much as 93-percent, and the temperature will be higher than usual, too, staying above freezing with a high of 38 and an overnight low of about 34. Tomorrow, the humidity is expected to start dripping from the clouds, as the snow level rises to 3,000 feet in the afternoon, the mercury climbs to near 40 and the chance of rain goes to 50-percent. Overnight Wednesday, that snow level is expected to climb to 4,500 feet and the chance of precip, rain low, snow high, climbs to near 100-percent, so on Thursday morning, we could be standing in the rain, our coffee cold and diluted, looking up at fresh snow in the mountains. The forecast slogs through Thursday much the same, but on Friday, it starts to cool down, and the rain -- hoo boy! -- turns to snow, with a 50-percent chance lasting right through the weekend and into Monday. |
