Museum summer season begins with railroad
program

The Boundary County Museum is starting off its
summer schedule with a big museum event.
Kickoff of the museum's summer hours begins on
Saturday, May 24. At 1:00 p.m. the museum will
present a special program on early trains in
Boundary County. There will be stories about
early Boundary County trains and railroads,
including a multi-media presentation put
together by the museum staff.
We know you are wondering---and the answer is
YES! Refreshments will be served at this event!
While you are there, you can personally inspect
the museum's newly acquired H.A. French safe, a
heavy duty safe used by the colorful Mr. French
for his home and businesses, including the
general store at Porthill.
A donation of $5 is suggested to attend this fun
event.
Beginning with this special event, the museum's
summer schedule will be in force. This means you
can visit the museum Tuesday through Saturday,
from 10:00 a.m. until closing at 4 p.m.
As usual, admission to the museum costs $2 per
person age 15 and older, or $5 per family.
Members of the Boundary County Historical
Society (and you can become a member) are
admitted free.
