Spelling bee winners named

The Middle School spelling bees were held on Tuesday,
January 14, at the Middle School Library. Those
results are:
Sixth Grade - First Place: Katelyn Hutchinson
Second Place: Erin Randall
Seventh Grade - First Place: Connor Claphan
Second Place: Devan Skehan
Eighth Grade - First Place: Ada Bonnell
Second Place: Anthony Bennett
Second Place: Mariah Roy
The District Elementary Bee was held on
Saturday, January 1. The results are as follows:
Third Grade - First Place: Malia Berry - Naples
School
Second Place: Corine Spain: Valley View
Fourth Grade - First Place: Skyeler Zimmerman -
Mt. Hall
Second Place: Olivia Pinkerton - Mt. Hall
Fifth Grade - First Place: Lauren Onstott - Mt.
Hall
Second Place: Chase Tucker - Mt. Hall
The spelling bees are sponsored by Boundary
County School District 101, Bonners Ferry
Rotary and Naples Helping Hands. The Rotary
provides a $25 gift certificate from Bonners
Books to each first-place winner, and a $15 gift
certificate to each second-place winner.
Winners in grades four through eight will be
invited to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee
at NIC in Coeur d'Alene March 23. |
