Please congratulate Myla McKechnie for placing
first in our local region for the VFW “Patriot
Pen” essay contest! She also placed third
overall in the northern district VFW (Sandpoint,
Priest River, Clark Fork, and Bonners Ferry) and
second in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary version of
the essay contest.
Please thank our students for raising $1,085.33
for the Wounded Warrior Project. Students
voluntarily participated in a “Penny War” event,
which was quite the battle.
Congratulations to Ryne Rae for receiving
“Honorable Mention” recognition in the Idaho
Forest Products Commission Essay Contest. You

eighth grade STEM, but will also be available to
help others as practical.
Students in need? We have a collection of
hygiene items for those students who are in need
of them. The efforts of the Coalition for
Children and Families Phoenix Project will be
providing these items via our school. If you are
in need of such items, or know of others who are
in need, please contact a teacher, principal, or
counselor at BCMS to access these items.
