Care n'Share deadline drawing near
|
November 21, 2013 |
Linda Lederhos is getting concerned. The
deadline for applications for a Care n'Share
Christmas is just one week away, and so far,
requests
are coming in at a trickle instead of a rush.
After more than 30 years at the helm of Boundary
County's Care n'Share program, Linda has a good
sense of what the need in the community will be
for gifts to ensure that no child in Boundary
County goes without on Christmas, and she senses
that need is high this year.
Maybe the unusually warm, wet weather of late is
keeping people's minds off the holidays ...
whatever the reason, don't put off until too
late! Applications are due by November 28.
Those in need can pick up applications at
Panhandle Health, 7402 Caribou Street across
from Boundary Community Hospital, or at the
Bamboo Room, 35 Automation Lane, 1 1/2 miles
north of Three Mile.
You don't have to be a parent or guardian to
make application. If you know of a family going
through tough times, you can make application on
their behalf.
To find out more, call Linda at (208) 290-1483. |
