Get ready … Idaho Family Reading Week is
November 18-21! Valley View has a full week of
activities planned to get your family reading.
Just Imagine the fun at your library!
Imagination is the theme this year and our
library will be decorated to inspire your mind,
and our activities are geared to make you jump
into a book.
Monday, November 18: Principal Pflueger and
Mystery Readers will be reading stories in each
classroom.
Tuesday, November 19: Karen Standall, noted
storyteller, will host two assemblies: one from
2:15 to 2:45 p.m. for kindergarten through
second grade, the next from 3 to 3:30 p.m. for
third through fifth grades.
Wednesday, November 20: The High School Drama
Class, hosted by Mr. Carpenter, will present
dramatic readings in each class during the
morning hours.
Thursday, November 21: The entire school is
hosting Pajama Day! Dress in your PJs and come
to school … invite your parents to come read
with you (talk to your teacher for the best
time). The PTO will be making and delivering
popcorn to the children during the afternoon …
thank you PTO!
Idaho Family Reading Week is sponsored by the
Idaho Commission for Libraries and coordinated
at Valley View by the Librarians and AmeriCorps
Idaho Reads! Vista Leader Debbie Pauls. Thank
you so much for your help! |
