Two Bonners Ferry men in separate vehicles were
involved in a three car collision on Highway 95
shortly after noon today near Athol. The crash
sent one to the hospital, but neither Bonners
Ferry driver was injured.
According to the Idaho State Police, Michael
Flynn, 69, Spirit Lake was driving a 2012
Volkswagen Jetta north on Highway 95 near
milepost 451 when he left the roadway at 12:04
p.m. and struck an Idaho Transportation
Department construction sign.
He continued north, turned around, then
continued traveling north again, crossing left
of center and sideswiping a 2002 Kia Spectra
driven by William Camire, 61, Bonners Ferry,
then crashing head on into a 2012 Subaru
Forester driven by Paul Rawlings, 67, also of
Bonners Ferry.
Flynn, who was not wearing seatbelts, was
transported to Kootenai Medical Center. Camire
and Rawlings were both wearing theirs. |
