School district giving away books |
September 10, 2013 |
By Missy Nelson Back in a small corner of the Boundary County Middle School is a room filled with thousands of books, all free for the taking. Teri Hinrichs and Robin Merrifield headed up a project to get used and out dated curriculum books to the community, with the goal of having all the books gone by October 3. "We want them to go to people who can use them," Hinrichs said. The thousands of books range anywhere from novels to story books, maps to vhs. "Every home should have a dictionary" says Hinrichs, and they have plenty to give. You may take as little or as many as you'd like. Simply go to the the District 101 office and they'll show you in. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. |
