A three-vehicle collision on Highway 95 at
Mountain Meadows Road Tuesday evening stopped
traffic through Boundary County for several
hours and claimed the life of a Naples man
married just a month ago.
According to the Idaho State Police, Josh W.
Wilkerson, 25, succumbed to his injuries at the
scene of the accident.
The accident occurred at 5:16 p.m., when
Wilkerson, driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero
south, stopped to turn east on Mountain Meadow
Road. He was rear-ended by a 2004 Subaru driven
by Keith Anderson, 22, Coeur d'Alene, pushing
Wilkerson's vehicle into the northbound lane of
the highway, where it was hit again by a 2013
Dodge Ram pickup driven by Derek Carpenter, 32,
Moyie Springs.
Two passengers in Carpenter's vehicle were taken
by ambulance to Boundary Community Hospital with
non life threatening injuries. |
