Two early morning accidents Sunday, one in
Bonner County, the other in Troy, Montana,
claimed the lives of three area residents. According to the Idaho State Police, Bradley M. Cunningham, 27, Ponderay, was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry west on State Highway 200 at about 12:14 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve near milepost 46, crossed the eastbound lane, and plunge into Lake Pend Oreille, submerging the vehicle. Divers found his body in the back seat of the vehicle. In Troy, a 60 year Ross Rouhoff and his 66 year old female passenger, Sharon "Pokie" Hogue, both of Troy, were riding north on Montana Highway 56 when Rouhoff missed a curve and drove off the roadway, throwing both. Neither victim, whose names were not released, was wearing a helmet, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. Funeral arrangements for Rouhoff and Hogue are pending. Schnackenburg and Vial Funeral Home, Libby, is entrusted with those arrangements. |
