Flag football to benefit Bliss family

It is that time of year again!
The Bonners Ferry Rotary Club will sponsor the
second-annual U.S. Customs vs. Border Patrol
charity flag football game. Last June they raised
over $3,000 and were able to purchase a
customized tricycle for seven year old Aiden Brenamen.
Aiden is a young man with cerebral palsy who
needed a specially made tricycle to help him
with his mobility and independence. This was
made possible with the help of the Rotary Club,
local business and our community coming together
to help a great family.
This year the Rotary Club and CBP invite
everyone to the game, to be held at 5 p.m. June
15 at the Bonners Ferry High School football
field.
With the aid of local businesses and the
community, we are looking to help Abby Bliss.
Abby is seven years old and has been diagnosed
with autism. Abby's parents, Jack and Amy Bliss,
would benefit from some assistance from our
generous community.
The second annual charity flag football game
will help fund the Bliss's goal of having a
fence installed around their yard. This would
greatly benefit Abby's time playing in the yard
and provide some peace of mind for Jack and Amy.
The Bliss home is next to the highway and Abby
is always in danger with traffic.
We are hoping to see you at a great free family
fun event to help Abby enjoy this summer in the
yard with her family!
