Stacey Chouinard and her family have been
working to find her daughter's dog, a small,
brown male dachshund/terrier mix, still a puppy,
who went missing up Katka Mountain on Saturday.
His name is Magwai, and he was her daughter's
13th birthday present.
He went missing near Boulder creek about 15
miles up Katka Road at the twenty mile cut of
road.
"She tied him up and he some how broke the
chains around the tree," Stacey said. "The bad
thing is he still has the chain attached to him.
We hope someone picked him up and he's not
lost."
They've searched throughout the area, checked
pounds from Sandpoint to Libby, and have put up
posters all around, hoping someone has seen him,
but so far they've come up empty.
If you have any information, please contact
Stacey at (208) 610-1138.
