Boundary County School District 101 will bid
farewell to nine teachers and employees at the end of the
school year, including some long familiar faces,
all going off to new adventures in retirement. At the high school, history teacher and long time golf coach Dan Butler, who began here in 1987, will retire, as will Vicki Downing, who began teaching here in 1995 and taught at the alternative school until it closed earlier this year. At the middle school, principal Dick Behrens, who began here in 2004, is retiring, along with art teacher Tama Meyer, who started in 1990; Jan Studer, who began teaching history here in 1991, and para-pro Terri Dunning, who started in 1997. Naples Elementary students will say goodbye to third grade teacher Reenie Doolin, who started here in 2004. Also retiring are bus driver David Kelley, who has driven kids since 2005, and district payroll/personnel clerk LaDean Winn. On behalf of the community and all the students' lives they touched, here's wishing each of you the very best for years to come! |
